Barely escaping with their lives, Slamby's friends/enemies/etc navigate the fallen Dwarf capital and see signs of a looming danger over the horizon-- though of course, they're busy with an invisible ape problem at the moment.
Anvil is in ruins, but is still defended-- perhaps therein lies some remaining blessing or curse. Algernon displays the family luck. Do your best, Algernon!
We take you now across the Undermarch to the once-great city of Forge, where a group bands together to survive the… locals. Slamby Gastronotte (Ambisagrus) is here to find the evidence to save the Smoulderboulder clan. Cactus (Ikks) and Tran (AWoodenPalisade) are here to save Slamby from himself. Gerald of the Mountain (Medibot) accompanied Slamby in hopes of finding what he needs to settle a dispute between two clans of druid. Finally, Algernon de Flor (Drakkel) is here to kill Slamby for accidentally destroying a wizard’s private floating island (long story), but takes one look at him and decides there must be a mistake.
As the first day in Forge ends, the party agrees to an alliance with the Empire under the advisement of
Margaret and new baroness of Equinox, Bella Canto. All this, and we
still need to find the Soul of Stone, the next of the thirteen keys.
Drakkenhall has seceded from the Empire, Mint is haunted still by a chair from a portrait of himself he saw in Equinox Manor (resting place of the first Orc Lord), and the party continues on their separate paths, round-robin style.
Nav befriends the unwanted of Forge, the beasts and mutants forced into the sewers. Manuél and Scarlett are forced into the monstrous slum of Beaston, where they are quickly embroiled in the plot of Manuél’s former employers and Grand Handsome’s rivals, Wylde Nyghtmäre, to free the political Dark Elf prisoners who have been held in Forge for literal ages. Bella is pulled into the political intrigue surrounding the Elf Queen and the Wilestar family. Rip finds his family arrested and their possessions to be auctioned— including the instruments he needs for the big Battle of the Bands, which, er, is also happening.
