13th Age 72: She's Got Heart.

With the Hand of Death safely secured in the Battlevan's collapsible vault, Bella leads the party to meet an old friend-- perhaps her oldest. Coloratura Canto, archaeologist, is on to the find of the age, but for a conniving Kudzu Contraption similar to that last seen in Forge's defense. Luckily, now some big damn heroes have arrived to help out. Elven history is learned and made herein.

"I have an instrument and simple motif I use to represent the various characters, Bella’s being a solo cello playing a slow legato line and now Coloratura’s being a bright-sounding piano playing rolling multi-octave rhythmic parts.  In the piece ‘Gimme Archaeology’ the first things you hear are the solo cello and piano, but the cello very quickly fades away, not to be heard for another twelve minutes.  About halfway through the piece the piano also disappears.  At the end, after all of the other instruments cut out the only things left are the solo cello on the far left channel and the piano at the far right, and both pan to center and reunite right at the loop point.  No one will notice it, but I’m happy it’s there.  I also was able to sneak in a reference to the Marx Brothers movie ‘Duck Soup.’"

13th Age 71: Blood Money

The crew of the Necropolitan 13 recklessly rush the enormous city-golem once known as Glitterhaegen. Though the newlydead engineering triumphs in the end, Nikud Adler (?) draws the party into his own private drawing-room to bash them into pieces which will hopefully rest easy. Joke's on you, Adler! We already have a Rip!

A quiet little halfling house is disturbed one morning as a wizened musician comes for tea, an orc snores on the doorstop, and the hill beneath rises to its feet-- just in time for the idyllic village nearby to burst into flame. The not-so-heroic foursome bursts cautiously into action, joined by a larcenous dwarf. Perhaps one village will be saved, but the culprit's identity leaves the fate of the world at large in question.

13th Age 69: Devilishly Decadent! Treacherously Tipsy!

Hey there, friend, the name's Gary Swallows, and I'm sure I'll be getting yours soon. Listen, I'm proud to say I'm applying to the position of brand manager here at Six Feats Under-- oh, that little fella's Appleton Smalls, bit of a marketing guru. Now, while our previous employment may have been terminated with intensity, I'm here to tell you it was no fault of ours! This curmudgeonly band, these rogue elements I'd say, came along, forced us into a maze of deathtraps, then assaulted us directly, just on account of wanting to see our boss! Worst of the bunch was a tall, creepy type, too Many of the touchy-feelies for my liking (Gnome). Now call me old-fashioned, but that sorta behavior just ain't right.
